1. The service

NihonGoAIR is an educational app for learning Japanese (vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, AR discovery, and an AI tutor). Features may change over time.

2. Accounts

You may use the app as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up.

Age Restrictions: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, sync your learning data to the cloud, or post content in the Community feed. If you are under the age of 13, you may only use the app locally in Guest mode, which does not collect personally identifiable info.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for unlawful purposes or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse API keys or backend services.
• Send the AI Tutor content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise objectionable. Such input is filtered and may be blocked.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

4. AI-generated content

The AI Tutor produces automated responses that may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is a learning aid, not professional advice. Verify important information. You can report a response in-app (the flag button on any AI reply); reported content is hidden and reviewed.

5. Community Guidelines & Social Conduct

The NihonGoAIR Community page is a social space for sharing learning wins, vocabulary discoveries, asking grammar questions, and participating in study groups. To maintain a safe, welcoming, and productive environment, you must adhere to the following rules:

• Respect & Inclusivity: Bullying, harassment, hate speech, threats, or discriminatory comments based on race, gender, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation will result in immediate suspension.
• Stay On-Topic: Posts and comments should be relevant to Japanese learning, language questions, travel in Japan, culture, or study progress.
• No Spam or Self-Promotion: Commercial advertisements, referral links, repetitive spamming, or self-promotional campaigns are strictly prohibited.
• Privacy Protection: Do not post personally identifiable information (such as phone numbers, emails, or home addresses) of yourself or other learners.
• Reporting & Flagging: You can report any inappropriate post, comment, or user behavior. NihonGoAIR reserves the right to moderate, hide, or remove any user-generated content and terminate accounts violating these guidelines.

6. User content

You retain ownership of the text, posts, and comments you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, and process your content to provide the service (e.g., to populate the community feed, generate AI tutor responses, and moderate comments).

7. Intellectual property

The app, its content, and learning materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

8. DMCA Copyright Policy & Takedown Procedure

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that any content hosted on the NihonGoAIR platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a formal DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated copyright agent atcopyright@nihongoair.com.

Your notice must include: (1) a signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the infringing material and its specific URL/location; (4) your address, phone number, and email; (5) a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

9. Purchases

If paid features or subscriptions are offered, they are billed through the Apple App Store and governed by Apple’s terms in addition to these. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time (More → Account → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
